The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security has launched its groundbreaking project to streamline the electronic submission of health insurance policies.

This initiative, targeting residents applying for permit renewals, starts today , improving the convenience and effectiveness of the renewal procedure.

The initiative enables the electronic upload of health insurance policies issued by accredited medical insurance companies in the UAE, establishing a secure connection for direct submission.

This eradicates the necessity for residents to manually provide their insurance policies during the renewal process for both themselves and their family members.

Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, the Director General of the Authority, emphasized that this project reflects the Authority’s dedication to streamlining service delivery by eliminating bureaucratic obstacles.

Al Khaili further stated that this action directly aligns with the directives of the UAE’s leadership and is a component of the endeavors to fulfill the goals of the Emirates Programme for Excellence in Government Services.

He underscored that the initiative aims to guarantee a satisfactory standard of living and improve the health and well-being of all UAE residents, protecting their healthcare entitlements.

Additionally, the official clarified that the new project is poised to markedly decrease service processing time by eliminating the current necessity to present a hard copy of the insurance policy for service application approval.
